crank pulley spacer

I the crank pulley spacer necessary with the mancini front motor plate or does it depend on your alternator setup?

And does anyone sell a spacer that will work besides mancini?

The spacer is needed if you are going to run a stock type water pump and you want the pulleys to line up.
