cam driven fuel pump small block - 10/20/15 02:50 AM

looking for some info maybe some dos and donts....

Building a small block W8s (Brett Miller) turbo on alcohol using a Holley Dominator efi with coils.

I am starting on the fuel system thinking about a mechanical cam driven fuel pump. I am using a Eliminator pump in the cell (6 gallons) in the rear to push to a surge tank (2 gallons) in the front. I was planning to pull fuel from the surge tank via mechanical pump either cam driven or belt. The surge tank will be high enough so that gravity is helping out.

Any ideas on where or who makes a cam driven pump for a small block Mopar?

thanks in advance

That is the way that the sprint car engines are set up. If you don't have a sprint car front end on your engine then maybe start with the two piece billet cover and machine it for a fuel pump mount.

They make a hex drive cam bolt for the belt drive that will drive the pump. Somebody probably makes a pump mount for a small Mopar, I just don't know who. R&R doesn't list one for a SBM but could probably make one. They are really simple
