1970 Dodge Dart 3X2 frame mild steel 4-link weight is 2820 with me power-glide trans 4.33 gears 540 Indy alum block B1 orginal heads.
Back half mph seems real low to me picked up 5 mph in the 1/8 and only .50 in the 1/4 compared to the 500 ci
Going to try different convertor this weekend slippage is 11%

I can tell you from my experience not to worry about the slippage so much with the converter as the operating RPM of the engine. My ole hoopty ran best with a converter that slipped almost 20%. It kept the motor happy and it its power band. This converter was .25-.3 faster than my usual throttle stop piece that was very efficient at 3% slippage but woefully tight and slow all out. The efficient piece stalled at 6600. We have talked about back half MPH many times. And for what you do getting that number up is always a good thing. Trap MPH is one thing but the back half is king IMO. I think if you can get to 42-46MPH on the back half that will make you an even tougher out.
