I have few, very few from my years of racing. Because one of my crew members who took pictures and video had it all when he committed suaside. Now his father is hanging onto everything and they claim they can't find any pictures in his stuff. The also haven't gone through all his stuff 8 years later too his Mother tells me. We are friends and his mother used to work for me and so did her son. This all happened like 3-4 years after they both moved on from my business fortunately for me, still sucks. We are still friends and talk. His mother has stopped by our home a couple times to give me racing related stuff, but only a few pics. Most were on CDs he told me before he died. That's not him in the picture, that's Mark F, another friend who helped me race.

Anyway I had a 286" TAD built and raced a 632 big chief injected in quick 32 type races the first year with it before TAD. Check out this crappy fuzzy picture I found, top fuel aero,LOL Car went 6.90s with the big chief and 5.50s in TAD trim. Picture is from 92 or 1993.

Here's my junk. It isn't an all out racer, or the fastest thing in the world, but I drive to the track race it and drive it home. Which is 150+ mi one way to one of the tracks I race at. The engine has 15k mi on it and I haven't had it apart since I built it 10 years ago.

Gary, while my story is not as sad as yours, I did work as the track reporter for both Edgewater and Tri-State from about 1980-94, had boxes full of photos all the greatest drag racers of the era as well as our local racers who many haved passed on since then. Nearly everything was destroyed when my basement was flooded in the mid '90's.

Bummer...I bet it was I think 97? when the big flood hit the area? I remember Mosteller rd getting flooded out. Like the Kenworth truck dealership and the Chex cereal plant. We provided emergency diesel fuel to the Chex plant, they threw away a huge huge warehouse full of Chex cereal. Many people ate tons of free Chex for months later. I brought them home in cases of 9 boxes like many others. Rumpke hauled them out in roll off boxes 24/7 for like 2 weeks.

BTW love that track down there in Kentucky, always friendly people there. Covered stands always seemed to amplified the engine noise.

Well my 63 is not a race car as its a street car I like to race when I can. Like Gus I like to race it sometimes and it is nice to actually go some rounds which I can say my last two times out I did go to the second round before I lost. But when I only get to race about once a year its hard to get real good and shut down the every weekend racers. But I always have fun and do love it when I can get to the track. Ron

68 Dodge RT Hemi SS/D 4 speed car switched to a Challenger but never had the success we had with the big Dodge. I was going to post a picture from 1971, but unfortunately 40 years of using computers is not enough to allow me to understand this new server and a simple way of ataching an image.

Best so far a 9.46 with a hurt transmission. believe there some 9.3's in it, but with my tuning abilities it will take 10 years or so to find it . Converters back from another adjustment, I threw in the towel on the trans and hauled it to Pro Trans.... should be done this week, and I have a quote from Cass for everything I need for a swap from 4.3 gears to 4.88. 25 passes on the lil small block so far. Can't wait to get it dialed in so we can finally get to business of going some rounds.

Jay you will find some better ETs I am sure.

My Dakota - just weighed it Saturday - 2860# - seems like an awful lot to me for a round tube car (truck), walked around it for an hour & can't seem to find where to trim weight... Maybe I should have opted for the standard cab !!!

from this past weekend. I won the "pro tree" race Friday night. pretty proud of the car holding its own against all the chassis cars and the dragsters. #3500 lb. on 9 inch slick. I was .510 in the semi's and .516 in the final.

40 years at this game and I've enjoyed every minute of the ride. Made LOTS of good Friends and look forward to meeting many more before the ride ends.

Thanks and you are correct that is Magnolia. That was the 1st outing for the wagon. Still a project but after 2 yrs of wk I was far enouvh along to get it out. Now time for a roll bar. Lol

My first race Car, 225" with 572" dart 360 BBC injected on methanol.
Towed my first 26' trailer 4 miles from my shop to the race track with my 87 ramcharger...once and only once! Before this I was big drag bike racer and before that I raced 4 wheel ATVs.

We ran up to 10% nitro in it too, that was a hoot and tons of fun. Picked up the car over a tenth and a half.

Then started to build them bigger, longer and faster. This car is a 286" TAD with a 632" big chief in a donovan aluminum block with a kinsler stack injectors with nitrous. It went 6 seconds. I raced my TAD in NHRA super quick class the first year with a big block pontiac and a power glide until I was ready with my first hemi and B&J 3 speed. Don in the red shirt built the chassis and body and I did everything else, everything.

My Son's 1970 Duster. He just turned 27 and made his first pass in this car before he was born when my ex-wife was pregnant.

Our old '68 Road Runner which is now in the Boston area however it does not look like this anymore, new owner recently stripped it to bare metal and repainted it or is still in the process at the body shop. It ran 10.40's through the full 3" exhaust out the back on pump gas, miss the car and hope to build another similar (68-9 runner or bee)in the future and then may send the Challenger to a new home.....
