I will be there for sure! Hoping to pick up where I left off last year with PRO and Ten-O shootout. But this time I added a trans cooler so it doesn't nuke the trans with 2 rounds to go in each class again!

11-12-13 I think, I will be sitting in the pub here in beautiful down town Finspang Sweden drinking a beer thinking about you guys having a good time and wishing I was there with all of you,, have fun and be safe.

We always park on that side too. It's peaceful back there.

Looks like I'm gonna miss my first Mopar weekend at Norwalk in 10 years. Took my enclosed trailer to get refurbished (outer skin, side door, interior walls, roof and floor) back at the beginning of April and it's still sitting with barely anything done on it. Have fun and be safe, everyone.

Well I got one run in today in my Duster and she ran good so I pre-entered and will head out Thursday. After watching and filming the heads-up class last year I bought a car for the class last November but I never got the car back from getting headers made till 2 weeks ago so I won't have that car done in time for this years race. I'll go have fun and play in the Super Pro class at the BEST Mopar race in the Nation.

I'm in...Been wanting to run this race for years. Work never seemed to let that happen but it is looking good this time. Will be running the 10.0 Index Race and possibly the Non Electronic Bracket Race. Really looking forward to meeting many Moparts Members and pitting with my NY Racing Friends.

vender spots are free so may bring in some people swap meet there was never large.

Was it rained out? I was heading out and hit some serious rain and turned around. Big green rain on the radar.

Rained out today. Starting at 9 am with time runs Sunday morning. It's still pouring. I really doubt they get started at 9am either. I would vote no time runs tomorrow since there's a chance of rain tomorrow too and I haven't been down the track yet either but as long as there's buyback I'm ok with that. We gotta get the race done. I'm assuming today's purse will be rolled over into Sundays race also.

That sucks, Sept weather can be iffy though.

They are racing 1/8 as of yesterday.

I made 2 runs,I had to do a low band adj,My factory console shifter would not adj to shift correctly.The new cal tracks went straight and my fuel mix is good also so I look to next yr to do better.

Well considering the rain that seems to follow Mopar events it was a nice event. There were at least 450 race cars there and quite a few show cars also and the swap meet was ok. Would have been nice to get at least a full 2 days of racing but "Mother Nature" did not let that happen. Only other complaint was they changed all racing to 1/8 mile which I hate but it is what it is and I'll keep my thoughts on that to myself. I did see quite a few cars that I never saw before so that was a good sign and showed the event is growing!!

No, bummer to show up to race for 2 days, $1500 to win each day. One day rains out,you can't control that. How should the purse be handled? Seemed simple to me. I guess the guy that got down to 9 cars is happy. Sucks for us. Again.

This was for all classes except Kos and Hemi. He left their advertised payout alone, but added 100 for making it to 16 cars.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the purse was 2500 for Pro and a couple other classes. And rather than just double payouts he payed back more rounds. $100 to the 1/8ths if I recall correctly. Just curious what class was 3k to win, the announcer repeated the payout structure multiple times Sunday, I only listened for pro so maybe I missed it.

I hate 1/8 mile too, but I don't think there was anyway that race was going to get completed in a 1/4mile fashion. To be honest I thought we should have went straight into eliminations Sunday morning. That's how a lot of places would do it. I lost 1st rd on a .004 red so I had nothing to gain.

For whatever reason I don't think Mopar races are supposed to happen. We are jinxed.

So, it all adds up. $900 away from winner, r/u and semis. $100 extra to the 1/4's and 800 extra to the 1/8's. So, 12 people are happy and 4 people lost out. I still question why KOS and Hemi didn't have any taken off the top of theirs, especially when they pull in less cars...but hey, all the entries in Pro are probably helping to fund a lot of purses.

KOS pay does not come from the races it is a sponsored class.

They all have some sponsor... thats why they have
their name on each class

256 cars 8 rounds

The choice is yours and yours alone on which class you chose to run. Don't expect the promotors to cater to your wishes. After a certain car count it takes a lot to affect the number of rounds it takes to win

If a class doesn't he a paying sponsor I often will try to help my friends until a paying sponsor comes along.

I would rather give it to a friend then to no get paid by business.

Or a wannabe business.

Any other purse at any other mopar event pay half that?????
