Nick Wilson not doing well

I got a call today that Nick had a major heart attack and actually died and was revived by paramedics. He was then taken to Akron hospital where he is in an induced coma.

I will post when I hear more information.

Gus I was phoned about this on Thursday and was told it was a stroke and he was @ Cleveland Clinic. I did not post because it was 3rd hand info.

I also knew about it Thursday, but certainly didn't want to be the first to post it. It made me remember 20 years ago, when my Dad had a similar problem, was in the hospital for over a week and off work for 6 months. He was revived twice and made a full recovery. It was a very difficult time for our family and business.
It's hard to believe how these type of problems happens. I just had an extended conversation with Nick about life, the ups and downs of running engine shops and racing about a week ago one evening when he called.
We are all praying and a wishing a full speedy recovery for Nick. Get well soon.

Last time I talked w/Nick we talked a lot about family. He was worried about his mom who had some health issues. I will say Nick is one class act and always bent over backwards to help me w/any problems I was having.

Well I wish I had better news to report but I just got off the phone with Bart and Nick is getting worse. He is not responding to any neurological tests. I guess his brain was starved for oxygen too long from what Bart said.

same here, all we can do is hope and pray that things turn around.

I couldn't say it any better. I ordered some stuff from him early this year. Hard to leave his place because he's such a personable guy who is easy to talk to.

I did some business w/ Nick years ago and had a chance to meet him in person at Carlisle some time after that. I hope that this is only a temporary setback for him and he's able to get back on his feet soon.

Never did any buisness with him but talked to him quite a few times.You would have thought I spent thousands with him.He just loved talking cars and speed.One really nice guy.I hope he gets well.He is a asset to the car community.Rocky

Nick built me a 440 engine last year that is still waiting to be installed.

I couldn't have asked for a more honest and fair person to do business with and prayers are going out that he is able to recover.
