Was really thinking about this..... but the way the days are flying by I'm not sure I'll have the car put back together in time..... we'll see.

Have fun guys..... my last trek to the area was 2007. My t shirt is getting a bit tattered and I was hoping to replace it, but car is still riding the jack stands in the garage. Get some pictures!!

We are leaving at the crack of dawn to be there on Sunday.

Any results or tidbits from these two races? I know the mopar day is usually on the small side, but would love to see some picts if anybody got any....

Our group went Saturday for the house of grudge and I will never do one of those again, Worst bunch of people I have ever encountered at a race track, They had some Bad a$$ cars and was cool to see but people with absolutely no regard or respect in the pits. Guys rompin through pits, kickin dirt & gravel, Throwing & breaking beer bottles all over the pit area, So much trash that they couldn't have the car show in the pit area like they use to. They had to move the show area for the Mopar event to the staging lanes. They did get it cleaned up but took them half the morning on Sunday to get it done. OK Rant Over and congrats to Lisa Caldwell (wheelsup73) for I think a runner up in Pro, She put on a good show as always. I put a buddy in my car for the Mopar event and he got his first 9 second pass so he was pretty happy. Look foreword to next year!

I heard Bode's event was a bit of a fiasco, had a few friends that ran it. Not really surprised by that honestly. To bad they did it in conjunction with the Mopar event weekend, hope it does not hurt that event more but bet it will.

well it sounds like I'll be a bit precautious about what events I'll attend up that way when the time comes if/when the time comes.

We had a great time. Got to see a lot of people that I don't get to see enough of, then my brother and I were able to get a picture taken of us next to our dads 62 Dart from when we were kids. Then to top it off, I ran a new best with the car 9.55@138, so all in all despite the mess that was left from the night before,it was a blast

Thanks , I appreciate it! My final pass during eliminations was on about a 9.46 pass, but I had to get on the brakes and ran a 9.60 at only 130 with a 1.30 60'. Not to bad for a 470 rb with a .590 purple cam 12.5 to 1 and 3200 pounds

I have to agree with Mikey.. The event had good racing, but the people there was not on their best behavior.. In fact, I had some guy park his personal vehicle in my pit.. so close to my trailer door I was barely able to swing it open..

When he arrived several hours later, he refused to move it out of the pit spot and wanted me to compromise and share it with him..

I then got security/staff and you wont believe this.. they sided with the spectator and told him it was ok to park his truck even with my tow vehicle..

I said this was BS and packed up and left.. I also sent two emails to Sacramento Raceway management on Monday of this week and both have been ignored..

I'm betting that vehicle would have required roadside assistance before I left....

Believe me... When the truck was sitting there and before the owner showed up.. I thought about doing something... But I'm glad I didnt because it would have turned into a race war with me bringing a torque wrench to a gun fight.. LITERALLY

There have been more screw balls showing up each year not drag racers heck they don't even know what model cars there watching. its to bad.
