What deck.. what rod length... for my 9.56 deck and chevy rods
I used Diamond pistons... call them and tell them all your facts
and that you might spray

I use Diamond and now CP...if they have a shelf piston you like they can make a CD change for the 3.79 crank.
I also use 6.200 rods most times.

I built 3 3.79 engines.. 1 was a 9.2 block.. that one
I used Eagle 6.125 chevy H-beams with CP pistons.. the
2nd was a 9.56 block with chevy longer H-beam rods and
CP pistons.. the last was much like the 2nd but with
Diamond pistons

Right now CP is working with us on piston/rod/stroke combos and ring stacks...for very reasonable prices as piston/ring kits.

When we use Diamond pistons, we sub the rings out for Hastings...the CP's come with their own made by Mahle I think which is also a good choice.

Basically you're in smallblock chevy territory. Valve pockets are different and the rod journal is a tiny bit off but then you are in tall cotton. for example a 350 piston with 1.565 comp height plus the 6.125 chevy style rod plus the 3.79 crank has a height of 9.585.

Or probably spend more money for stuff mean for Mopars.

Ask Streetwize.

I had these Diamond Pistons #83166 made for a 3.79 stroke 340
Pin height:1.400
Bore 4.070
Dish 9.3cc
Rod 6.300in SBC

These pistons are .005 down the hole and will give you aprox. 10.75 comp. with a zero deck a .040 head gasket and a 65cc chamber head. Makes 394ci while still maintaining a good rod to stroke ratio.
