It makes me sick when I hear of someone losing something they've put so much effort into. That car is not replaceable! Hope he gets it back and someone hangs.

Me too. I've always loved watching it pull the wheels. I just saw something on Facebook. I hope it's not too hard to find such a high profile car.

I'd bet the reason why it was stolen is explained on the sides of the hood scoop.

I hate to hear this! Looks like a really nice car. Hope they find it quick b/c it won't take the crooks long to tear it apart and distribute the pieces.

Sadly, stolen race cars are seldom found intact. Hope this one is different

Wish there were more details but that's all I've been able to gather frown

Re: Stolen......'67 Hemi Belvedere - 07/24/15 10:55 PM

Whole rigs and trailers that are stolen, are easy to spot. A stolen car in a random trailer..............sadly, will probably never be seen again.

These are generally not random thieves. They have a plan and usually the cars and or parts are sold before the heist is even pulled.

They have the guys on tape, descriptions of vehicles, tag numbers and everything else of the crew that boosted nearly one million in motors and parts from Buck Racing Engines recently. So far not so much as a carb has turned up or been found

I also understand that this is a "Real original Hemi RO - 23 car"

I will for sure be looking for anything even closely related to this car and sure do hope he can get it back in good condition.

I hope he has better luck than I did. My 67 Plymouth GTX was stolen in 1992 and I have not seen it since. Owned it since 1978. Also the county law said it is not their job to look for it. They would just have to accidentally run across it.

Re: Stolen......'67 Hemi Belvedere - 07/25/15 01:07 AM

They tried to take the whole rig, but ended up getting only the car.
I pray they find the car and bastards that stole it so they can be hung by the nuts!

Well I certainly hope their resorting to "Plan B" results in their demise flame

Not that my junk is near as nice or valued as much however, I would be inconsolably devastated!!

Re: Stolen......'67 Hemi Belvedere - 07/25/15 02:44 AM

Did I read that right? The article said it was 1 of 55 built by Chevrolet.
When my GTX was stolen in the local paper it said it was a 1967 Ford GTX. That maybe why it has never been found.
