Bought a tube chassis some may remember.

This was the chassis under Jimmy Bradshaw's dart. I am currently looking for a 67-69 dart body if anyone has one. Hope to have it done by Memorial Day next year. I can't get the pictures to load sorry bout that. Beeen out of the seat for a while. Looking forward to making hits again!

I haven't been able to get to my car to measure the struts for you

I got it taken care of thanks. I contacted santuff and gave them the measurements. They are 10 weeks out, that was 2 weeks ago.

How many guys have owned that chassis in the last 3 years since Jimmy sold it? Hope to see it hit the track again.

What are the engine/tranny plans for it?

We'll have to start a club for Jimmy's Darts...

For right now it will be my Indy headed 498 with a glide. Later on pro charger or turbo. Wife says she wants a pro charger. Who am I to argue. Lol

Just be careful with anything from them. crooksduster, I see you're in Florida. If you decide to buy from U.S. Body, I suggest driving up there to inspect the parts before purchasing.

Here's a picture of the outside of U.S. Body Source. I went up there to pick up a hood. I must have past that place 10 times before taking a chance and pulling in. Their tiny business sign was covered in overgrown shrubbery and vines. Plus, I wasn't expecting the place to look like this!

I plan on using a steel body. Any fiberglass pieces I get will be from AAR fiberglass which is now Stinger fiberglass. They are local to me. I've used AAR for years and Alan's stuff was always top notch!

U S Body Source is heavy junk.

I sold some of their parts to customers back in the early 90s, junk for sure, but they had parts that no one else had. You would finally get the parts (6 months for a 70 RR hood)then spend hours reworking them.$$$

Was able to make the chassis a roller this weekend. New Santuff struts. (That hurt). Dart goes to the body shop Friday soon as the body work is done we can mount the body on the chassis

The rear tires are not on just sitting beside car. 16x16 double beadlocks. Won't need them but I got them cheap.

Dart is at the body shop. Will post pics soon. Picked up a JW glide today. Have to freshen the motor I ran in the duster next. Just like the old Johnny Cash song... One piece at a time!!

I kicked around buying that chassis a few times years ago but was able to fight it off. You got it looking great.

Just a funny thing (to me anyway) about that car. After it had burned the second time, I went down to orlando to possibly buy it as a project car. The car had been put outside, and it was obvious he had had enough of this project. The damage wasn't all that bad, and it's a very solid car, so oh well. A little rust here, and there from the weather, no big deal at all. I am neither religious, nor superstitious so I got in the car to see if my fat butt would fit. I snapped up the window net, and settled in the seat. All good, and I'm ready to make an offer. The window net won't release and I can't get out. Jimmy had to get a pry bar to get the net down for me to exit. I had a thought run through my head about being on fire that killed all ambition lol.
