4.59@155.7 off the trailer today. It's blowing through the convertor out the back real bad. Making changes now to try and tighten it up!

Re: X275 Challenger @ Radial Fest!ng - 05/02/15 06:25 AM
.60's are off by about .04. Was a 1.08 which is still incredible

Re: X275 Challenger @ Radial Fest!ng - 05/02/15 07:27 AM
Time slip says 1.0491 60ft. That's quite a bit better than 1.08. Either way very nice running car. I hope my big tire car will produce time slip as fast as that someday. Right now I need almost a whole second!!!

What he is running............Think the record is a mid 40, so Marty's car IS one of the current top dogs.
Looked good Marty, we are pitted right across from Darren and the boys

W8n2DustU: Congrats it must feel rewarding after all the hard work.
How the availability on the heads and block you use? Also got any pics of the motor?

Re: X275 Challenger @ Radial Fest!ng - 05/02/15 05:17 PM
Heads can be bought from Visner Racing. Only two of the blocks were ever built! I own them both!

Beautiful looking setup.
Heads arent much good without a block
I assume there are some iron blocks out there though?

I guess id be better off looking at the gen 3 hemi route or big block for my goal of a mid to low 8.

Nice passes. Bennet Racing is about 25 miles from my house. Looks like they did a good job on your motor. Where did you end up qualifying?

Re: X275 Challenger @ Radial Fest!ng - 05/03/15 10:05 PM
Just cosmetic. Hit a tree just before it came to a stop after it decided to go off-roading just past the finish line!

Re: X275 Challenger @ Radial Fest!ng - 05/03/15 10:09 PM
that would be all fine and well..... in my Jeep! at your speed...... I imagine there was some pucker factor involved.

Re: X275 Challenger @ Radial Fest!ng - 05/04/15 07:01 AM
What happened Marty..........That was going on just as I was leaving and didn't get to talk to Darren. Chute not deploy?
Posted By: W8n2DustU
Re: X275 Challenger @ Radial Fest!ng - 05/04/15 01:50 PM
Car hit the bump in the left lane at the same time the chute grabbed air causing the rearend to lift off the track. That unsettled the car and it left the track and slid about 1/8 mile in the grass. Right before it came to a stop it hit a tree!

Re: X275 Challenger @ Radial Fest!ng - 05/04/15 03:50 PM
That sucks, but could have been much worse. Congratulations on a marked improvement in the performance of your challenger.

Re: X275 Challenger @ Radial Fest!ng - 05/04/15 04:24 PM
Darn attack trees jumping out from the woods! I saw it from the stands. Driver claims there was a bump in the track as he pulled the chute and it made the car go airborn. From where we sat it looked pretty crazy. Hate it as I was pulling for you guys.
Stoopit cops had to run down the dirt/gravel road as fast as they could so they could play me too, even though the safety crew was on scene. Stirred up a bunch of dust that blew onto the freshly sprayed track delaying an already behind race schedule as Tyler had to re-do things.

So ... possibly in response, the track is repaving the shutdown area.
