Any way to identify QF 1150? - 01/12/09 04:47 PM

I was wondering if there is any external markings to identify say a QF 1050 from an 1150?

I don't know about Quick Fuel carbs, but on the Holley's you can look up the LIST number on the carb in their web site numerical carb listing. For example 9377, 9377-1, 7320-1, 80556, etc.

Normally these days most builder carbs use billet metering blocks as well as billet caps on the boosters. Also most builder carbs have no list numbers on them as the shops buy blank bodies from Holley, unless it was built from a customers core. At any rate there should be a serial number etched into the body of the car if it was done by a shop as well as their logos or decals somewhere.

On a 4150 carb, it is stamped into the side of the main body. I don't have a Dominator here to check, just look around.

my 4150 is the same, stamped into main body but on the dominator the pads where it should be are blank.
