Hydraulic Lifter ID help - 01/10/09 11:24 PM

Anyone know if they are specific for SB or BB?

It is the narrow oil band that I am wondering about. They were purchased 10 years ago or more.

Thanks

I don't know who's lifter that is but, flat tappet lifters usually interchange, SB/BB.

That looks like the early (pre1966) solid lifters that have the small tip on the pushrod end, 1/4 inch diameter, if I remember correctly, like found in the 273 engines and other with solids

I know crane has different lifters for BB and SB. I think it was more common in years past.

Sorry, I didn't see the Hydraulic in the post The early Hemi, pre 1958 use a hydraulic lifter like that, porbally all the Mopar motors except the B-RB did The B-RB oil galley are further down in relation to the lifter travels so that lifter probally won't work in them
