Cylender Head shops - 02/08/15 11:28 PM

I have a set of Small-block Eddy's pn#6077 untouched and want to send them out to have them ported as well as a real valve job done. I have read on the board here "Modern Cylinder Head" (Jeff?) What would be a realistic price range to have them done right? Do they service the little guy or are they a Big boy shop? I also want to run a flat tappet cam from Cam Motion. my goal is to make a 600hp 408cui at 12.0:1. My car is 2850lbs hoping for a slip in the 10.0s

Brett Miller is who I would use, do your research, be careful of the so called guru's.
Speaking from experience here, and others I know that have dealt with same thing. I am going to leave it at that. There is a bunch that can get the job done...

Call Modern and get them CNC and the valve job..they
can set the springs if you know what cam.. 600 hp
is doable with a 408... I'm making 590 hp with 10.4
compression on my 416... and it runs on 87 octane..
I'll race it on 93

I see you're in Ontario. Dwayne Porter is in Vermont, and IMO should at least be worth a call to discuss what you're looking to do.

What part of Ontario?

Hewitt Automotive Machine in Brockville does excellent work.

On pricing, Modern IIRC did the CNC Stealths for 440Source and they were $1000 extra.

With the current exchange rate, that is about $1300 plus shipping.
