fiberglass hood for '66 Coronet?

fiberglass hood for '66 Coronet? - 01/07/09 02:39 AM

I'm looking to drop a little weight and am leaning toward a fiberglass lift off hood, fiberglass front bumper and aluminum brackets. Can anyone post pic's of their setup and how they pinned the hood? I like my WO scoop, but remember a red '67 Coronet that used to be on here with a cowl hood that looked real nice. Thanks, Wade

Don't have any good pictures, but this is what the side ones look like. Have a total of 8 hold downs.

My 67 had a VFN pin-on hood with aero pro scoop on it when I got it. Hood was secured with 8 dzus fasteners.
Now the hood is leaning up against the side of the garage. Couldn't stand that scoop.

Replaced it with an AAR fiberglass bolt-on hood and WO scoop.

That doesn't sound very encouraging. It was sure a cluster *&!@ this morning with their web site crashing and phone lines jammed.
