Don't know cause this was the 2011 Amsoil engine 3rd placer and difficult getting strait answers. It was built for dyno but I plan on 90% street use. Yes I know its not built for street but the price was in my budget.
BTW it also has the Harlan/Sharpe 1.6 rockers.

Its a 406" (4.375 bore 9.98 deck height) steel 383 crank (3.375 stroke 2.200 journals) ICON pistons (.033 over 1.480 comp height)
Isn't that Dominator a bit big for the street?

I thaught it was a miss-print when you said "stroked" 400.........Yes, you could use less carb 750-850 can easily be tailored to work 4 u.

The drivers right foot controls how far open the throttle blades get I've never seen a Mopar BB wedge motor yet have to much carburetion, tunnel ram, six pak or single carb. I've seen a bunch that ran better after putting a bigger carb. on them Maybe a 950 or 1000 CFM 4150 carb. would make you happy

I put a Mallory HyFire VI AL ignition box, 32 series billet, magnetic p/u distributor and recommended coil on my race car many years ago and it's worked great. Only a little trouble with one of the connectors. I haven't messed with it besides changing cap, rotor & Accel 8.8 plug wires periodically. This is their low deck BB version at Summit:

Mallory 32 series distributor for low deck Mopar BB.

As for carbs, I only know how to work on Holley's and their Ultra series work well for me, at the track at least. Staying just a little on the conservative side with CFM could help drivability & tunability.

OK any opinions on this Holley 950 CFM with mechanical secondaries?
https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/carburetors/hp/street_hp/parts/0-82951

The motor came with the MSD 8545 Billet distributor and will need a box and harness, any ideas?
Appreciate all the help.
