what did the 493 run? wasn't it dipping in the 9's?

my best run was a 9.71 @ 140 with a 1.40 60
next pass I opened the exhaust and it barfed on the starting line because it was ice cold after waiting on a clean up. ran the same ET but with a 1.6something 60 so I figure 9.5s, right after I stuck the hemi in to try something different for Drag Week

It did, but the motor made really good power.

Its 3150 with the hemi. The hemi will pull the tires off the ground a little. The BB wouldnt. 3300 maybe

Just because it left like a turd doesnt mean the engine
wasnt there.. just needed chassis/suspension work..
remember that MPH is HP.. ET is chassis

Care to share the rest of the BB combo for those with foggy memories? I am in the process of re-hashing my 493...looking for ideas
I guess I could drop it into an a-body and pick up quite a bit...

2 Edelbrocks, Weiand tunnel ram, the standard EZ heads open to MW, 12-1 comp, 185 cyl pressure, it 60 fted much better in the Challenger with 4.10 gears
