Gen 3 valve covers

Will 6.1 valve covers work on the 6.4 head I've been told they will not If they won't then I need a set of 6.4 quick

Dont think they clear the rockers. I think 5.7 Eagle valve covers are the same as 6.4 though.

The Rocker Shafts were moved up and out on the Eagle and Apache heads vs. the original 6.1 Heads, which would put the rocker closer to the older valve covers. Whether they fit or not, I'm not sure.

Thanks, Any idea where I can get a set I've been told they are on back order. Used will be OK. This is holding up engine builder.

They aren't compatible.

2005-2008 5.7 car
2006-2010 6.1 car

Those both interchange.

Anything 2009 and up 5.7 and 2011 and up 6.4 use the same cover.

I bought my eagle valve covers from http://car-part.com/ from a salvage yard around Michigan for about $100 shipped, and that was a good deal.

moroso makes a beautiful billet set..

They're for the new engine for our Drag Pack, don't need pretty

The moroso valve covers are for the older style of 5.7/6.1

Found a pair , one each at two different dealers in Dallas I'll see if they show up tomorrow,thanks for the info

When I was searching, you couldn't find them from the dealer. All of the other parts have been a breeze from both dealers and wrecking yards.
