I just had to post this picture to prove I was there. First time I ever visited Samoa CA, let alone the dragstrip. Strange place, at ZERO elevation, and Tsunami warning signs everywhere.

1.5 miles northwest of Eureka...

the dragstrip is next to the airport...right next to the beach...drove through there are few years ago..

I go to Arcata and Eureka once in a while for work. Interesting town. We have an opening doe there right now and if I was single I might take it. It one lived up in Blue Lake you'd be out of the fog layer. The entire place pretty much smells like reefer.

Top Sportsman and Top dragsters run at Samoa. Here is a run down the strip as we race there at least once a year.We would race there more but its a 6 hour tow one way from my house in Napa and they don't pay well due to car counts. The run in this video was taken in August 29th at 12:30 in the afternoon and it was 63 degrees out.

John how far are you from Maple Grove? Isn't it a really fast track in the fall?
