I'm happy Jeg won for Mopar. But it's a shame that NHRA can't keep a level playing field (track prep)for everyone throughout the event. Allen Johnson got bit in round 1. PS normally has good, close racing. The track shouldn't be THAT big of a variable that turns racing into a peddle-fest. It's a pet peeve of mine when I pay good money to race as well.

Re: Englishtown P/S Results - 06/01/14 10:35 PM

There were way too many cars that had tire shake and couldn't run down the track.

Or pay good money to sit in the grandstand...

Re: Englishtown P/S Results - 06/02/14 12:44 AM

tire shake means the track was tight and they didn't have enough clutch/HP air pressure for them to slip

There were good runs made in both lanes, I think some just underestimated how good it was.

Anderson made the comment that the track was slick during his interview . Looking at the reaction times in the first couple rounds I thought maybe everybody had their clutch backed down to not be so aggressive off the line . Even Mike Dunn commented about the 60' being off.

Looked like a lot of people had trouble on race day, even in qualifying... too bad aj went out early, thought he was going to get another win.

I was there on Saturday and I thought they were pulling out of the water box quite a ways before warming the tires and seemed to be very short on the burn out? What made the tires so good on AJ's car that they put them on Jegs car for the finals?
