512 Muscle Motors going into some new pipe today! - 05/16/14 08:36 PM

yanked the 512 Muscle motors wedge from a 70 Duster(3200 lbs)and today dropped it into a 1700 lb Round tube roadster...ran 9.70 in Duster...what do you think it will run...shedding 1500 lbs?

is it just the angle or is that upper tube blocking the exhaust ports perfectly

air... wind through your hair... oh wait.. thats a
motorcycle... I enjoyed driving the roadster I built
for my brother... low 8s easy

lol i am just wrenching..owner is RT66 Super Pro driver Mart Brunke. he has had his Duster 25 years and pretty much wrung all he could out of it...time for a change!

must be the angle...we took a steel headed 440 out of it...pure 1990,stuff,Stage IV heads,tunnel rat,etc

Well he will enjoy it... plus they are quicker by a
good bit and they are easy to work on... a small roll
around stool is all you need... he should have MOST
of the safety equipment except the arm restraints which
are needed on any open cockpit car

My brothers so called drive shaft is just long enough
to get 2 U-joints in it.. I moved the engine forward
to get it in... that was much cheaper than the other
set up with no shaft.. plus its plenty light in
the front... he wanted his to be the nostalgia type
with rigid rear

wonder if thats the same car i saw on rj back in 09. it was in louisiana then, tried to call the guy but no luck, fiqured he had sold it

NO it came from a 77 year old top dragster racer from PA....he runs 6.20 now with ray barton power!he had the roadster built for him from Billet Race Cars in CA in 1990
