Throttle bracket............ - 05/14/14 04:00 AM

What throttle bracket does everybody use with there Dominator carb. I am switching from a 950 to a dominator with a spacer and my throttle cable bracket is not tall enough. I tried to use it and the angle is so bad it makes the pedal hard to push. I am also still using stock throttle cable.

Please post what gains you get from it...What dominator did you go with?

I have a Pro Systems Bracket for my SV1, and I know those will fit a dominator.

Do not know if I will get any gains yet. I put it on and could not get it to idle. I sent it to ProSystems today for a refresh and updates. When I had it on it the throttle was really hard to mash since the angle was really bad from using the old cable bracket. I just want to have everything corrected by the time the carb comes back next week.

Sounds like the cable is too short... look on Mancini's
site for a longer one

I run Mancin gracket with M1 and My dominator.I run a Dart /6 cable.I believe Andy a member here makes the brackets.They make them for different intakes also.Rocky

Andy thats the one I have.Works perfect and also well made.I thought it was you design.Picked mine up pretty cheap at Carlisle from Mancin about 8 years ago.I did have to modify the cable end from the 73 dart to fit my 65 pedal.Rocky

Thanks. I've been making the tall throttle brackets for about 15 years now. I have a press out in the shop and I just knock them out as the orders come in. Mancini has been selling them for a long time now. I ended up designing brackets for various Mopar engines including cross rams and dual quad intakes of various flavors.

That is the one I have and it is not tall enough.

The bracket will work with an Indy intake plus a spacer. The bracket is adjustable so you can change the angle of the throttle cable.

I run that on an Indy 3X intake and a dominator.

I run a jegs bracket on my dominator. I wish you would have sent it back up here, we could have fixed it.
