Jesel roller rocker

Jesel roller rocker - 12/28/08 10:42 PM

Noticed some of these rockers come with an oil hole drilled from the top side where the oil puddles , into the underside which oils onto the valve retainer , should i carry this modification out? , or just rely on the oil 'overflowing' onto the valve/roller tip?
Should i fill this hollow in the rocker before i fire up , although the motor has already been broken in before i tore it down , i read jessel reccommend removeing the restrictor on a fresh build , will this apply in my case?

Rather than bring my previous post back up , am i right in thinking the lash cold is .005 thou less? , ie , hot .022 cold .017.

TIA.

I add .005.. things expand and move around ..Warm up to 180 and Re-tork and re-lash.. Leave rockers as they are, they will work fine...I always squirt some oil on the valve train before inital fire-up..

Thanks.

Got iron block/alu heads , so after reading previous thread i see how the lash setting is '005 tighter , was confused as i always used settings for ci block/heads.

Aluminum heads, according to Crane, should have the lash set .006 tighter when cold, reset after warming up the motor. some motors cahnge, some don't
