Wheel spacers - 03/23/14 10:01 PM

I want to know if it is safe to use wheel spacers?I would also like to know if they can be used safely between the axel flange and rotor.I need to move the rotor outward to fit the caliper on properly. It would be good to know the minimum amount of stud required to mount the wheel safely.

How much are you talking... the stud need to pass through
the lug nut... or exceed the diameter of the stud must be
in the threaded section of the nut(on the long style
of lug nut)... but most tech guys like to see the
stud at least to the end of the lug nut on the drive wheels

On the stud lenth I am ok.But I need to move the rotor out away from the caliper bracket. My axel offset is 2.185 and the kit is made for 2.360 so I need at least a .175 spacer.Ineed to put the spacer between the axel and the rotor. Is this going to be ok?

For .175 I wouldnt worry about it... but I think you
will end up making them.. I dont think I have seen
a spacer at that thickness

I will probably just buy a set of .200 and that will give me more than enough room.I was looking at a set of alluminum spacers. Thanks for the reply p you are allways a big help.
