Max fitment will be 275 on an 8" wheel with 4-1/2" back spacing...
from what I've been told. I will be upgrading to this combo myself in the next few weeks.
Right now on my E-body I have a 255 on an 8" wheel with 3-3/4" backspacing and is too close to fender.

The best fitment is with the leafs moved in. Arew you possibly planning to do that?

I have a new pair of wheel vintiques rallye wheels 15 x 8 4.5 backspace that I tried on the rear of my 70 cuda with 275/60/15 nittos. They rubbed on fender lip and I had to change to different rims. Stock dana stock spring location. Rubbed on both sides. I'll make you a deal on the rims if you want them. They were only mounted and dismounted. Thanks, Mike 217-546-2300 no text.

In the case of my wife's Barracuda, it has 295/65/15's on an 8" wheel with 4.5" backspace using a B-body Dana. It also has Dr. Diff offset hangars and shackles.

bite the bullet & go the offset springhangers & fit some 325x50 on 10" rims. thats the biggest you can fit with stock wheelwells & in my opinion they look great. but i'm bias.
