RB 512- XE295HL- EXAUST MANIFOLDS??? - 02/19/14 04:36 AM

Picked up a 67 Dart that a guy was setting up to do a little drag racing. RB 512 stroker, compression should be around 10.5 or a little less. 0 decked. fired, no miles. Unported Stealth heads with Comp Cams XE295HL-10
Duration Intake 295 Exhaust 307
@.050 251 257
Valve lift 564
Lobe seperation 110

I tried calling Mr Porter about a cam, but couldnt get ahold of him. Plan on calling agian.

I want to put this 512 in my driver, some trips to the track 70 Charger with a 3.54 dana. The Dart has a new Turbo Action 17801 converter.I know theres better cams for exhaust manifolds, but my question is, could I run that cam with my manifolds? What could I expect performance wise?
Thanks Terry

I think you'll have a lot of problems running that cam with manifolds. The manifolds really don't tolerate a lot of overlap. Talk to Duane and see what he says, he'll know what guys are getting away with these days and how they are doing it.

Please post what you find out, I was possibly going to try that cam in my similar 505, 11.5-1 with Indy EZ-1 heads, indy dual plane, headers 1-7/8, also not a lot of converter and 3:23...

Called Dwayne today and ordered my cam. Nice guy, took my call at 630 his time, wow. Im missing out on some HP due to the exhaust manifolds. Best to call him and talk to him about a cam. Dwayne Porter 802-951-1955
