high spring pressure limit?

will a standard size billet core cam support that much open pressure? engine might will most likeley see 7500 to 8000 rpm.

I have been running 947 Comp triples on my 440-1 motor for a long time. They are 340 on the seat at 2.00. If you can control the valvetrain with a double spring that is lighter, you will be better off. The most rpm I have run is 7800 through the traps.

I have over one hundred runs on the same set of springs. Can't say the same for all the rockers and lifters! The lifters have taken a beating and need to be watched religiously, checking lash for any change. I have had lifter failures and bought a new set, so I guess you could say average life with my deal has been 50 passes? The loads really stress the rockers as well. I have hurt a fair amount of rocker axles and bearings on the Jesel stuff, due to needle bearing cage failures. These bearings were hurt by the rockers slamming sideways and crushing the cages, leading to stuck needles, then galled shafts. I have since changed the way those rockers are held in place and have eliminated the C clips that take the beating.
I don't put a lot of runs per year on my stuff, so hopefully you will get more feedback.
If I had it to do over, I would have bought Ti intakes at least, and hollow stem valves as another option to save valvetrain weight. A high rocker ratio helps. The lifter and pushrod don't have to travel as far. There are better double springs now that work as well as the triples I have I believe, with less spring weight, and less total lbs of load needed both on the seat and open.
