Any one run 5/16 or 8mm valve stems on 2.250 valves looks like alternative to Ti the weights are in the middle of SS and Ti with hollow stems the price is around half of Ti

Overall weight is not as big of a problem as the weight of the head. Lighter valves from smaller stems help, a lot sometimes but going Ti. drastically improves rpm potential.
