If you go to a tire that is 1.4 larger in diameter, will the car actually sit 1.4 inches higher?
I need to get about .5 inch more of front end travel and without going into LT tires I find a size that is 1.4 greater in diameter.
After lowering the car back down to its present ride height will that get me the .5 inch I need?

half the diameter goes up from the center of the spindle and the other half goes down 
I should have been able to figure that one out. Duh.
