good 440 truck build

i have a 1977 w100 powerwagon with 440,its a smogger but i have that taken care of,i dont want it to be to radical.i have a 78 440 with 40k on it in awsome shape,it will have low compression,ive herd good things about the xe268 and low compression.isnt the xe268 justa step above the orig. magnum cam?and i wanna run a holley street dominator intake because i can still put the egr on it any other things i should look to concider?

The XE268 is something like three steps above the stock hipo cam, but 440s seem to like it.
