What weights should I shoot for when scaling my car?

What weights should I shoot for when scaling my car? - 09/25/13 02:41 PM

I guess I'm going to borrow some scales and scale my car. I know I want to get as much weight on the rear as possible. But should the rear tires have equal weight on them? Or one side more than the other?
Thanks,

It usually has a bit more weight on the RR to counter
act the torque of the driveshaft...the weight will
vary due to the amount of torque.. remember that
the RR tire is trying to lift up and spin the rear end
around the drive shaft... the RR weight COULD be any
where between 10# to 50# or maybe more... you load
the RR to make it drive straight off the launch

Use the left front torsion bar (tighten or raise the front up) to add weight to the right rear wheel 30 to 50 lbs more works well for me

Don't forget to set the weight w/ the driver in the car.
FWIW...the one time I scaled my car, the right rear was about 30 lbs. lighter than the left. The car has always gone straight so I left it alone.
