I went across the scales and thought my car LOST weight, lol. It's down to 3380 with me. Wish I could say it was the diet I was on but......

Last year 3480 and this year 3530 but I left the tool box in the trunk this year. I'll have to go out any weight it later, don't think it's 50 lbs.

pretty sure if you looked at the scale before you got on them it was at 40lbs I think.

Ok ready for a story problem

I checked my notes, last year car weighed 3460# with Front runners and 1/2 tank of fuel.

This year, 3530 with street tires on front(+16#ea.) plus 18# tool box in the trunk, that's 50lbs more, gas tank was 3/4 full,so plus 4 or 5 more gal. of fuel, 25 to 30 lbs more for a total diff of 75 to 80 lbs.
I would say the scales were good

It doesn't hurt to check the scale reading before driving your car onto it, I have someone watch the scale readings before I step on it( if it is reading zero with no weight on it ) and the decide if it matches my weight with my bathroom scale If there close I'll drive the car on to the front edge of the door and weigh the front weight, then the total weight and finally the rear wheel weight I weighed my Duster on one of Oregon commercial truck scales and it weighed 3150 with me in it , I hauled the car to Las Vegas and it weighed (on there certified race scales), with no changes 3450 lbs with me in it with the same exact amount of fuel, completely full Scales can vary from early morning until late afternoon Been there done that

I weighed there at the NMCA race, 3345. At Bowling Green NMCA, 3340. On Jakes scales 3313. I added about 15lbs since I weighed on his.
all pretty close.

Thanks for the replies I did not look at the readout before going on scale figured it would be at 0.

I have weighed my car many times there... I always
get out to check zero then I step on it to see if its
close to my weight... then drive on
