Los Angeles, CA mopar engine builders? - 09/11/13 01:08 AM

Looking for suggestions for any mopar engine building shops I should check out. I'm driving from Santa Barbara, CA to Big Bear Lake, CA (101 to 210) on Thursday and would love to scope out some engine builders along the way. I'll be driving from SB to Newport in a week as well, so basically any shops in LA I should be able to stop check out. Thanks for the help!
Dave
ps. right now my plan is an LA based 408 stroker, definitely staying small block but specifics could change.

Pettis Performance in Hesperia California. Jason has a full service facility including an engine dyno and machine shop. There are a few on this board who will vouch for him. I think there is no better. Just google Pettis Performance.

Pettis Performance 760-244-4415 since you mentioned Big Bear which is San Berdoo territory.

As mentioned, Pettis builds some really fast motors.. but there is also a Moparts Member that knows how to put the pieces together too..

Good shop also and Little Donnie works there and his stuff flys BUT Pettis is King in my humble opinion and if you call them you`ll see why plus you get a tour of the shop/dyno room and can see all of the photos of some of the fastest cars around.

I have a buddy you might want too talk to before spending any money at this shop! He was not a happy camper with his 416 stroker they assembled.
