MCH - 07/31/13 11:04 PM

Thank you everyone for the kind words about my brother. I will be continuing to operate his business in his absence. I hope the moparts community will support me in this very tuff time. Iam dealing with the loss of my little brother and the emotional issues of transferring the business and catching up on all outstanding bills that I ha e ignored while caring for. Jeff in hs last weeks.
Losing my brother has been the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with and iam sure it wont get easier. He was and always will be my best friend and little brother.

Thanks again

Bob , all of our deepest simpathy goes out to you and family, I know it must be tough but thanks for coming on here and giving us an update. Jeff and your shop did my hemi heads and it's the reason my motor runs as good as it does. Hopefully all the customers give you a chance and understand your tough road ahead.

Bob.. my regrets to you and your family... I have had
multiple people contact me about their heads at your
shop(because I live near by) about getting them... if
you just contact them and let them know where they stand
I think that would help a lot
Best of luck to you and carrying on the shop

Sorry for you loss..............I`ve lost a few of my best friends in the last several years and it deeply hurts but the show must go on and I respect the fact that you`re willing to keep the banner flying in Jeff`s name. Peace and good luck to you.

Sorry for the loss your family is experiencing right now.

As far as carrying on with MCH, I'd like to reiterate what others above have said about taking the time to reach out to your customers who are feeling in limbo about what's going on with their jobs.

I've worked in small shops that would get really backed up during the busy season. Even if you stop production for one day to focus on following up with everyone who's got something in the MCH queue, it will pay off because most (not all, though) will give you a breather from the constant phone calls asking about status and actually allow you to get more work done in the long run.

Best of luck in the future.

Re: MCH - 08/01/13 03:14 AM

I lost a younger Brother some 12 years ago and there isn't a day I don't think of him at least once.
But eventually the pain subsides and the good memories take over.
Now , it is the high water marks that make me smile and wish he was still around.
It still hurts some , but he is still making me laugh too.
Hold those memories dear.......they are his last gift to you.
And hopefully , they help ease your loss.
Heartfelt condolences.

Bob, it is good to hear you are going to carry on for Jeff. I never really got the chance to meet you over the years, and wanted to give you my condolences out in the parking lot after the scripture reading at the funeral home. You were deep in conversation with friends/family and I did not want to interrupt you. The support for everything your brother started will still be there, you can count on it. I have work for you myself when you get caught up.
