Timmy's Dart - 05/31/13 01:59 AM
I have been sitting in my car for a week now making engine noises. Today I finally did something different, I mounted the pedals to make sure they are comfortable for my height. I also figured out how to mount a radiator since I will be using a stroker motor at first to get my comp license. The car is heading to the body shop in two weeks and I want to make sure everything is where it needs to be before it is painted. Updates/progress on the car will be posted here.

I first heard of Megasquirt from Instigator. I have the Megasquirt II with 3.57 board and 3.1.1 firmware. This will be for the 503ci Turbo Wedge that I will run in the car before the Hemi. It will be a great way for me to get familiar with EFI and not hurt the Hemi

I know better than to go straight to a blown alcohol Hemi from a 600hp street/strip car.
Tim and I discussed this in length at the YB race. He has a plan that is do-able. I can't wait to see it run again.
Good to hear...I have seen plenty of guys with cubic dollars jump into something they really can't handle with mixed results..

Long as he doesn't say it 3 times...

Paint job looks great! With all of its reincarnations, it kinda reminds me of Christine. You can set it on fire and blow it up, and it still comes back to life.
Please tell me he didn't just say that out loud!

I want an MB or Willys wagon when my Dart is back on the road. Plan on a 5.7 Hemi,nv4500 combo though.

Re: Timmy's Dart - 05/29/15 01:27 AM
My Millennium heads are about to head off to Bob at Modern Cylinder. He is going to find the max potential out of the heads for me. Jeff told me years ago he could get over 600cfm out of them if they were going on a blower motor. Once Bob gets the ports finished, I may order a solid set.
My castings have the "billet exhaust flange" pattern. Not sure what is matches (top fuel Brad heads maybe??)

Re: Timmy's Dart - 10/01/15 07:14 PM
Noonan Race Engineering Superman S600 Pro Extreme heads. 2.55" intake, 1.95" exh. I figured that if I went to a fathead, finding parts would be easier. I bought them from Xtreme Racecars in NJ. Awesome guys! The ones in the pic are actually going on an engine they are building. Mine are in their boxes, I'll snap pics when I get home.

Down nozzles. Not sure why they are there on an alcohol head. Maybe the blown pro extreme cars are getting close to needing them. These heads are amazing. They have built in oil squirters that can be fed from the deck or external lines, all tied together. Also has additional oil drains that are tied together under the exhaust ports.

Re: Timmy's Dart - 10/03/15 06:01 PM
I still plan to put a n/a alcohol wedge in first, to get use to the car. Then move to the Hemi when I feel comfortable. I won't use the Megasquirt on the Hemi, I will get a Fueltech unit. I am going to sell some of my 4x4 projects and parts so I can focus on the Dart better.
