of how fast it will go. broke a rod in aluminum 572 so a drug out 030 over 440 checked bearings did a leak down and stuck it in the truck.
here we go
440 030 over
ross pistons
640 lift solid ultradyn
452 heads 2.14 1.81 exhaust ports touched up
approx 13 to 1
stock rods
stock crank
fuel injection on alky
powerglide 1.80
4.10 rear
2750 lbs
shift 6400 to 6600
1/8 mile
winner gets nothing but bragging rights

If the conv is close to being right that
should run 6.20s easily in a race weight car of 2750
(assuming he means 2750 at the line and not just the car)

If he is making around 500 hp at the crank, he may get a 6.50 or so around 104 ,105 mph. But he said no big port job on 452 heads and the cam may be a little big possibly, with a 410 gear. I don't know though, I'm just shooting from my hip with a few combos I did at that weight , with me in it. How much HP can you squeeze out of a 452 head with just a clean up?
