Distributor issues.....

I have an old MP electronic distributor on my RB. As stated a while back,the inside is pretty rusty. The timing isn't as steady as I would like to see and the cap on it is a tad loose. I am thinking that it is time for a new distributor. Any of you fellas ever see a gain in e.t. by changing one out? Thanks!! Ted

Ted we run MSD.I had dual point and my kid has a new MP unit.Both run better and he picked up a bit with the full MSD.I just wish I had bought the 6 Digital instead of the AL box.Digital had built in rev limiter etc.Mine I never ran before I swapped to MSD.Rocky

I run an msd but for price the firecores look pretty good.
