Anyone hear of LSM Systems Engineering? - 04/11/13 03:41 AM

Looking at a 572 Aluminum Hemi they built, has anyone ever dealt with them or know any info, good or bad?

If it is the one I am thinking of ( it probably is ) they are the go to if you need a cam that is well off the beaten path i.e. relocated lobes , firing order swaps etc.
They are a couple pay grades above me and do some serious work based on what I have read.

Yep, that's the place. Guy said they did impressive work. I never heard of them, but looked at their site and they do have some good hardware and pricey too, though how well they stand up I have no clue, so that is why I ask.

From what you said, they know what they are doing.

LSM is a top of the line company, Steve is a great guy to work with, very knowledgable. LSM really came into the limelight during the Pro Stock Truck heydays, they were pretty instrumental in a lot of development work and they have continued that. They are well known in the Super Stock, Comp Eliminator and Pro Stock ranks. We have run several 55mm and 60mm SS Hemi cams from LSM.

Use them at work all the time. I've had them make some really oddball variable-lift cams, no complaints. No comments on their other components, but I'm sure quality is good across the board

LSM made the cam for my Gen 3 Hemi. I needed a VCT cam for my new block and they are unavailable. I took an example of the cam to LSM and hey made a custom 8620 billet Cam Core and then ground the Cam.

I've had some machine work done there in the past and always had good results.

They did the cam for my 3G HEmi $ 500.00 for just the cam. Upon taking it out of the box and looking at it. I looked down the inside of it and it was packed full of metal shavings.

I thought for that kinda money it would be cleaned. It was a real PIA to clean it out as well

LSM did a complete SS Hemi block with relocated .937" key bushings and 60mm cam tunnel for me back in 2004, everything seemed spot on.
