Is my burnout over kill ( Video included) - 04/04/13 10:03 PM

Went out to collect data to order new conveter,
converter was shipped yesterday, from Select Trns
out of N.Y..
I also have a question: I noticed when I open radiator
cap, I heard a pop as if there was a air pocket.
What could be causing this

It could be the preasure relief valve causing it to either hold a vacumn or preasure. I had one on my Dart that would hold preasure for weeks. Took me a while to figure it out.

Most guys fill the system when the engine is warmed up
and then put the cap on... when it cools off its under
a vac but if you have a recovery can(sucks the fluid
back in) it should have neutralized if you got it
warm enough... but even then they can still hold a
bit of vac or pressure

Thank You !!!
At lease the car is staying around 150*, going
to put a 180* thermostat, to get more heat in
the motor. Car would not get hot for nothing,
even driving it home, like 14 miles,,
on a 80*+ weather day.

i see the title has changed . in my opinion if they are dot's you don't need to burn the tire's that much, unless that was the first burn out of the day.

What's up with that leave, looke like you tippy toed outta the hole.Burnout looked good, what kinda rear tires are you using?

Re: Finally Video included - 04/06/13 02:47 PM

why were you so soft out of the hole? Does the butt end always kick out like that? As for the burn out... it was a little much but I wouldn't say it was way overkill.

burnout looked ok. Might be overkill when the smoke from the tires puts out the staging lights
