Sent mine to Koffels in MI. Rich had them for 6 mos. Got them back
and had water leaks in both of them. Cleaned them up a little to
good. He had them fixed and back to me. Back then, 2005, Rich had
the job done down the street at another machine shop, and they went
out of business. Leaks were repaired buy?????? Didn't ask to much
as he really felt bad about it. Just make sure they are doing the work. Otherwise OK.

Re: B1 HEAD PORTER - 04/04/13 04:44 AM

I purchased a set of b1 mc castings from koffels in jan of 2012 during there winter sale. Turns out they have porosity issues not koffels fault by any means but if anyone on this board purchased from the same batch beware!!....that is all.

My B1 Original Heads are currently at MCH being ported. I am expecting a call any day to say that they are done. Jeff did a great job on the 2 sets of Indy Heads he has ported for me.

Go to Best Machince, send intake also. Amazing
things he does with the intake, and heas.
You will pay, but you wont have no issues, trust
me on that. $pend it once, and get it done rite.
Ignore my reply to ur PM. Hes going to redo my
heas in the near future, when i'm ready
If ur the Cesar I've meet in person, PM me ur #.
This is what a local guy in NY cost me $$$

I will get you the # for the guy in Belle Glades that
has Cano's Preditor motor nda 7's, never heard anything
bad about him, left a message on Cano's phone.

He does some great work, as we have seen with
Canos motors, good combos.

Re: B1 HEAD PORTER - 04/08/13 05:06 PM

Hmmmm...My intake is out of the box stock and unported, except to change the port openign. Plenum is untouched. Seems to make good power this way. The B1 intake is an AWEFULLY large intake cannot imagine any guys here really needing anything done to one. But what do I know, maybe I am leaving power on the table
