I didn't explain that very good. I have racepak with an o2 sensor in every header tube.

i have read alot about 4-7 swap...
is it really worth the effort?
some of the BESt engine builders in the country dont seem to think so. no matter the order you have 2 side by side firing. some say it changes the deflection on a weaker crank adding a few ponies , but a good crank, no help.. im interested in what you experience

Its not just he 4-7 you also need the 3-2 swap, if it was not benificial, then there wouldn't be so many nascar teams using it and GM would not have used in in the LS series. I did a lot of research and it has to do with the power pulses in relation to the crank throw position. There are a few articles on this and mostly is had to do with creating a smoother running engine, not really for much more power. Tim

Thing I've seen discussed most is it makes rod bearings last longer.

Re: I did 4-7 cam change - 03/04/13 06:30 PM

Shawn, off topic just a little but what size headers are those? Also, on the photo with your post I like the way those Good years look during a wheel stand. Not all bundled up or distorted for a car of your weight. What size are those and what pressure are you running in those? I have problems wearing out my sidewalls on my Good Years(31/14.0's)and only working well for 20-30 passes or so.
Thanks MIke

The 4-7 swap gives you the old Ford flat head firing order. The 4-7, 2-3 swap makes it the same as a Ford 351W firing order.
