Why no 30 x 9 drag radial ?? - 03/02/13 02:28 AM
I wonder why in the heck no one makes a 30 x 9 dot drag radial ?? I mean Hoosier makes the 30 x 9 x 15 radial slick for stock eliminator cars that have to run stock wheelwells. So why does no one make a 30 x 9 tire for street cars that run stock wheelwells ?? I have been running these Hoosier 30 x 9 radial slicks on the street for over 2 years because they fit great and dont rub at all in my 63's stock wheelwells. And they handle pretty good on the highway with my 225/70-15 radials up front. I would gladly use a dot draq radial but everytime you get a 30" tall drag radial they are at least 11" wide. And they will fit the wheelwell but rub way to much on turns so thats why I prefered the 9" wide tires. A 10" tire might work with the perfect offset but I like the 30" tall tire on my 63 as I like how it fills the wheelwell. So until someone make a 30 x 9 x 15 drag radial I will be driving and racing on these Hoosier 30 x 9 radial slicks ! And I will not cut on the car or tub it. Ron
