Colder heat range is better when using a iron head and pump gas like your talking about

I used Autolite 74's in my old 906 headed .557 cammed 440. Ron

Best option is use NGK R5670-5...I use these NGK series plugs in all builds and they offer them in multiple heat ranges for diff applications , cr, etc.
