Its that time of the year again.....


Im going to drag Teds junk down the track this year . Easily . I might even give him a car length ...

You really want some of the dart Theodore ????

What do you guys think....

my junk -- 493 / 12:1 / old school flat tappet cam/ small port eddy rpm's / full interior (except rear seat) / 11" tire / street car (except mufflers)

against teddys full race / light weight / 13:1 512 / bigass roller cam / fancy full ported heads / gutted / HUGE tire car



I wont have a problem on the tree due to him being 79 years old ---his sight aint so good these days......

I dont think Ted has full port race heads as he was talking about going to Victors I believe but I dont think he did so you may have a slight chance now. I like that you say its a street car except for mufflers. You know as soon as you take the mufflers off its a race car. Sounds like you guys should be a good race.

Ron--- its all legal--all lights work / has plates (slightly expired by a year) --needs muffs.

he wont tell me if he's using his fancy ported stage 4 heads or his fancy ported Victors....


we didnt run last year due to $$$ . We are LOWWW buck racers....

A tricky one, if Ted uses the Victors, he might get the nod but with the current heads, i feel you might just squeeze by him. Ted was a little cagey about his times last year.
Is it 1/4 mile Kevin ?

My eyes..not the best,I admit..
Come see me when your pooch can carry them like this with a bad tune up.

Gawd I love this tradition. Teddy, your age may be your downfall as it took you 12 HOURS to reply. Sleeping in is a bad habit to get into sir... You fellers have fun with this, I know I will.

You nipped me by what... .02?? And me,you,and Steve all scaled the same day. I wrote my 3400# in the log book. That cam isn't that big...I am not putting the Victors on. So.....I am working with what I have.

Our big money race is usually for a few beers and supper!! Also bragging rights...which he currently has!! We have a great time. And that is what this is all about. I really don't see the need to stick a bunch of cash into a car that sees two or three times a year at the track..

Since Im 2-0 ... I get to pick the track. I came to yours so now you come down here to Eddyville. Dont tell me its too far.....call it a vacation and come down to camp and race (and drink beer)

Just reading this gives me the urge to load my stuff up and come to have fun with you guys. Just sounds like a fun mopar get together with some great guys. Having a dozen or more all mopar specific cars running a handicap race for a small purse would be great. Can I bring my dart if it all worked out time wise? I might not pull the big wheelies, but can jump out the gate at a good clip. All in fun My car maybe even able to run a heads up run with you. Not sure of the times, but interesting. I think I could squeeze out some mid to upper to mid 8's. It's not real fast, I just want to play and run with a few members. I get tired of running local chevy track with no body I know.

Not sure where you are AL but you may like Phenix City & the track right up the road from it in Lagrange GA,for some fun Grudge Type racing.

By then,I may have to miss a house payment to afford gas!! No camping...Me and the wife are too old. At least you guys have affordable entry fees...

MrT,I hope gas & race fuel are not as high up North as they are down here in the South. We too have affordable entry fee's,but the price of fuel both for the race-cars & truck are going to make it hard to race this year.

NO--NO WAY I will use a bungee cord on my Nos bottle !! It is held down with zip-ties !!


Also ted-- you will need to come to eddyville for the race. No exceptions. You might want to carry one of your sidearms to that track......there is a big gang problem in Eddyville, and a lot of them hang at the track .
