Ok... I'll ask... why did you bend the bar going down
to the sub frame connector from the main hoop... normally
thats a straight shot

I didn't want to be the one that asked but glad you did. I was curious too.

x3. Looks cool, but seems like a lot of extra work fo no reason. Not trying to be critical, just curious.

It is welded directly too the subframe connector, it is designed that way to take steepnes out of the bar, it has a triangulated strut to spread the load and to ease fitment and welding...

Does that answer your ?'s

Yes... in a way... I've never had a problem welding
the steeper angled bar.. but thats the way you wanted
to do it

I am NOT a chassis guy but I would think it would be stronger on the angle to the center hump. It being attached to the subframe connector maybe what 1 1/2' to 2' away from the downbar may give it a little more strength. In a rollover God Forbid I would think the other way would hold the downbar inplace better.
It's your car and it Looks Good just asking.

triangulation brother, its at its STRONGEST all tied in to the subframe connectors and to be legal for 8.50 cert. some day YOU MUST BE TIED INTO THE SUBFRAME CONNECTORS! The cage is setup for easy add ons in the future.

This is true... BUT where you put the triangulated bar
is to a unsupported area.. it would have been must
stronger if you went to the bottom of the main hoop....
instead of the cross bar... I'm not telling you what
to do but what would have been stronger... but to
be honest I would have just run the down leg on the
steeper angle and landed on the frame connector...
stronger and less steel
