Why did you have to renew? expired? upgrade? switch from IHRA to NHRA?

Sure looks nice

Ya that would make it leave easier. It is fun like that tho
Quote:No doubt a PG would work good in that car. But you can put an A&A 2.28 gear set (22753H4AT) in a 727 for about $700. That might be all you need. The helical gear set is affordable, the straight cut sets are around $2,000. Converting to a PG will cost ~$3,000. Trans, converter, shield, driveshaft, shifter, crossmember/mount, etc.Quote:

I love it, just got to figure out how to calm it down a little to bracket race it could really use a glide

justin has not figured out how to send or post it. he took it on his iphone after looking at the pic the tire pressure isn't that far off. he was telling me it crushed the tire but it doesn't look that bad. maybe a 1/2 pound or so

Love the new car Tony.
I have a question about the license passes.
Will I have to make 6 passes to get my license? I have never had one.
Congrats on the new ride.

I'd keep it as the 904... a bit more excitement off
the line and a better 60'..... but thats just me...
the glide is sorta boring.. but IF you have a spinning
problem..... thats another story.. JMO

no spin, but excitement is not good bracket racing.

Tony my car with a 727 is deadly consistent... I
havent ever lost due to the trans... driver error...
YES.. most of the times I lost I went red... a few
times was on the top end(but not many)... and its
a bracket car

huge difference between what will get down the track and win a bracket race. this thing is pretty violent off the line. it lifts the wheels out of the beams which is good for super class racing not so good for bracket racing. the track will not be consistent as the night goes on around here so it will make things difficult to repeat I think.this thing has to be pointed perfect every time just something else to worry about trying to race. I'll get it sorted out with time.the less events you have to deal with bracket racing the better off you are imo.

Awesome, enjoy that car Tony. BTW, I love leaving on the bars, if I wanted a boring ride I'd build a V6 stocker.

lookin good Tony..
thought you were getting away from racing...what happened...got bored??...LOL
Quote:it'sw a tube chassis 4 link car with anti-roll strut front end. and thats what I was talking about.60' wheelies and bracket are not good.
is the arrow a 4-link or ladder bar car ? the wheel stand launches could bit you in the rear in the late rounds. nice ride.
Quote:
what's the rear gear ratio...??? going from a 4.56 to 4.30 tamed the roadster down a bit

yea i thought it was cool when my dragster was popping the tires out of the beams, right up to the point it fouled me in eliminations...i went home and put the battery in the nose
imho if you want to look cool be one of the last two cars in the lanes
Quote:it's definitely back heavy. do you remember the rear spring rate? going to plot out the 4 link and see where we are at.
Would it help to start adding weight in the front by the gas tank?
Quote:everything is on the table but have to gather more info before making changes.
Why not put a 4.10 or a 3.89 in it?

No Tony, I don't remember. There might be a tag on the spring with the rate on it. I don't know if it has enough motor for a taller gear.
