727 TA Transbrake back to RMVB - 01/12/13 11:21 PM

I have a 727 transmission that I modified to run a Turbo Action transbrake. I am going to put a Turbo Action "Cheeta" manual shift, reverse pattern valve body back in. Do I need to undo the changes that were made for the transbrake, or will it be OK to leave them as they are and still run the manual valve body? The changes are a shim in the rear band servo, a plug under the accumalator and blocking a hole in the case under the accumalator, I think.

Thanks,
Brian

The shim in the rear servo would only make engaging reverse a little harsh (Same feel with the Cheetah tranzbrake). The low/rev band is not used in "1" if you are using the Cheetah RMVB 17156. The accumulator mods should not make any difference using the RMVB. The VBs are basically the same except for the transbrake. I have blocked the accumulator piston down with a rod to firm the 1-2 shift with the Cheetah RMVB.

Run it Brian, the little changes made no difference
in mine with either valve body.
