Did you hook up the run and crank wires together...
MSD you have to.. because you get rid of the ballast res

Are you getting voltage to the box and coil

I hate to tell you this, but I think you box is broken. I had the same thing happen. One way to tell for sure, unhook the “mag” wires, then hook up the “white” wire. Repeatedly ground the white wire, the ignition should spark every time you remove it from ground.

We have fire at the plugs

Well its not the ignition then... do you have fuel..
pump the carb to see a pump shot

Yes we have fuel. The spark at the plugs comes and goes. I think it is the distributor. Good fire from the coil. not a consistant fire on the plugs

Mr.P, what happens if you do not get rid of the ballast resistor? I have a digital 6 and did not know you were supposed to get rid of the ballast resistor,I hope I am not hurting my MSD.

Its just reducing the voltage... MSD wants lots of
volts... you'll get a hotter spark with full voltage

Make sure the carbon ball is in the center of the cap

Changed the cap and rotor. Runs and starts fine
