Coil over spring rate

Hi,
I'm installing ladder bars and coil over schocks on my 67 Barracuda....

What spings do I need ? 110 lbs ? 130 lbs ? 95 ?

Its gonna depend on what the back of the car weighs
but usually its 110 to 120... if its heavy then 130 max

Depending on the weight we usually see 130#/150# on Darts and Cudas that weigh 3000#/3200.These are wedge and hemi with automatics.

110-120 would be a good starting point but if you go with QA-1 shocks, they will give you instruction as to how to set up for proper spring rate at your required ride height, that is how I did mine and it was also how Chassisman told me to do it and it works well.

My car had 170 lb srpings on the rear to start with,BB 1971 Duster, 3450 lbs, 1650 lbs on the back, I switch them to 150 lb. springs and that made the ride smoother, 130 lb springs would have probally been better but 1.39 60 ft. times foot braking my 727 made me grin
