How much space should there be between top of carb and hood scoop for proper air flow? Have to modify hood and only want to do it once, thanks guys

The air horn SHOULD be below the BOTTOM of the scoop
inlet IF you want the best condition

We like 3/8" above the vent tubes.Sometimes we have to shorten the tubes.
